Here are two of my favorite expedition cruise lines for Wildlife and Nature Lovers!
If nature and wildlife fill your soul, then expedition cruising will fulfill your dreams. Getting closer to nature and wildlife in small ships is a winner! Lindblad Expeditions and UnCruise Adventures are both ideal for exploring Alaska’s forests, emerald fjords, and glaciers. Lindblad Expeditions cruises to all seven continents while UnCruise Adventures focuses on the west coast of the Americas. When wildlife is spotted, there’s no schedule requiring the ship to move on so passengers can observe wildlife behavior and capture amazing photos. You might be able to hang out in the Zodiac with sea otters paddling nearby, observe humpback whales bubble feeding, or maybe see a bear foraging along the shoreline. Zodiacs go where the ships can’t go to. There are opportunities to kayak and go to shore in Glacier National Park on some itineraries. Naturalists provide information about the history, environment, and wildlife which enhances the experience. The Expedition Leader and the Captain decide which areas are best to explore depending on conditions and where critters are spotted. After an exciting, and if you wish, an action-packed day, you’ll refuel with scrumptious cuisine. There are no formal nights and attire is casual. Creature comforts also include a spa, yoga on the deck, and more. Every day is memorable on expedition cruising!
Lindblad Expedition has ships which offer a casual yet upscale ambiance, superb service and yummy food. They pack in the fun, excitement, and awe of our natural world. Their experts give knowledgeable presentations during a fun "happy hour." Every cruise has a National Geographic trained photographer, and they offer special photography focused itineraries, too.
UnCruise Adventures knows how to have fun in wild places. They explore where large ships can't go. The casual atmosphere contrasts with the excellent service and food.
Alaska is their premier destination, but Hawaii is fantastic to see humpback whales in winter, or head down to Costa Rica and the Panama Canal.
My accolades for these cruise lines could go on and on. I have been on both, and I am addicted to them! They are similar yet different. Which one is for you? Let’s chat about that! It's always best to book early! See my contact info in the footer.
